Mario Golf: Super Rush is the latest Nintendo Switch exclusive to debut at No.1 on the UK video game charts. Par for the course, we suppose.
Mario’s newest golfing adventure has given the Nintendo Switch another first-week No.1 in the latest video game charts from GfK. The chart – which tracks retail software sales in the UK – puts Mario Golf: Super Rush in first place, replacing PlayStation 5 exclusive Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which falls to No.3. Sandwiched in between is FIFA 21, which continues its European Championship-fueled resurgence.
The Nintendo Switch has six games in the Top Ten overall, with Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Ring Fit Adventure both climbing.
Elsewhere, Bandai Namco’s reasonably well-received action RPG Scarlet Nexus debuts at No.8 and Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla leaps back up the chart from No.12 to sixth.
Outside the Top Ten, Sega’s Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The Official Video Game enters at No.11 and the mediocre Alex Kidd In Miracle World DX debuts at No.17.
