Mario Kart 8 Deluxe remains at the top of this week’s UK software charts, holding off Bethesda’s reboot of the Prey franchise.

Prey is the only new top ten entry in a fairly static week for the UK games charts. Elsewhere, Grand Theft Auto V continues to sit pretty at 3, along with Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare at 4, while Lego Worlds maintains its top ten residence at 5.

On the Nintendo Switch front, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sets the pace at the top of the chart, while The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild slips two places. Fellow launch title 1-2 Switch jumps five spots from 17 to 22. It’s also interesting to see the five-year old Nintendo 3DS racer Mario Kart 7 still doing donuts in the lower reaches of the top 40, its moderate resurgence no doubt related to the success of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Of last week’s other top ten entries, Tarsier Studios’ spooky Little Nightmares falls eight places to 12, and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 tumbles 11 places to 13.
