Capcom confirms Monster Hunter Stories 2 release date, and a new Rise demo

Dark Light

Capcom has confirmed a release date for Monster Hunter Stories 2 and a new Nintendo Switch demo for Monster Hunter Rise.

Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will be released globally on July 9, 2021. The game is the follow-up to the excellent 2016 RPG that was first released on Nintendo 3DS before coming to smartphones.

A limited-edition will also be available containing outfits for the player and Ena, palico outfits, and some sticky stickers.

Players of Monster Hunter Rise will also receive an in-game outfit based on the game’s Kamura village. The game will also be accompanied by three new amiibo figurines based on Ena, Tsukino, and a Razewing Ratha.

Capcom has also announced that Monster Hunter Rise is getting an updated free demo ahead of its Nintendo Switch release on March 26. From March 11, players will be able to pit their wits against the fearsome Magnamalo in a new quest.

Finally, the first drop of post-release content for Monster Hunter Rise has also been confirmed. It will feature new monsters – including Chameleos – and it will unlock the Hunter Rank cap. It’s due at the end of April.
