Capcom RPG, Monster Hunter Stories, comes to iOS and Android.

First released for the Nintendo 3DS last year, Monster Hunter Stories is an utterly charming, pocket-sized RPG that combines elements from the mainline Monster Hunter series with a sprinkling of Pokémon. The result is rather magical, and a game that was a somewhat overlooked on its original release.

The game came to mobile in Japan last December, and is now available on iOS and Android in the West as two apps.

The first, Monster Hunter Stories: The Adventure Begins, is a demo version of the game. Similar to the free Nintendo 3DS demo, it allows players to explore a limited slice of the game free of charge.

Progress from the demo can be transferred to the full game, which is available for a one-off price of $19.99, and is completely free of micro-transactions.

Aside from some format changes to accommodate a single screen, the already beautiful game now features high-resolution graphics, and a brand new auto-save feature.

Monster Hunter Stories is now available via the Apple App Store and Google Play.
