WB Games and NetherRealm Studios are running a free trial for hit fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 this weekend.

If you’ve been on the fence about playing NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat 11, we have good news. The game will be free to play on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 from October 11-14, 2019.

The free trial includes access the game’s full suite of multiplayer modes as well as the first two chapters of its Story mode. The base game’s full roster of characters is available, including fan favourites like Kabal, Sub-Zero, Scorpion, Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade.

The trial also features a preview of the recent Kombat Pack DLC, which adds Nightwolf, Shang Tsung and the Terminator T-800 to the game’s Tower of Time mode.

Any progress you make will be carried over to the full game. Conveniently enough, Mortal Kombat 11 is available with a 40% discount via the Xbox Digital Games Store and PlayStation Store for the duration of the free trial weekend.

Don’t forget, you’ll need a PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold to play online. Here’s a new trailer.
