Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion heads this week’s lineup of new video games for the PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion is a remaster of the much-loved PSP action RPG from Square Enix. It comes to all platforms with updated 3D models, new voice acting, and a reworked soundtrack. Although the game serves as a prequel to the original Final Fantasy VII, it has also been reworked to tie in with the ongoing Final Fantasy VII Remake/Rebirth project.
Another remake – of sorts – is Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission. The 1987 arcade version of Operation Wolf was the Call of Duty of its day, and although this update looks like a simple rail shooter, it has a certain ‘dumb fun’ appeal.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition also comes to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 this week, as does the sublime Gris. We absolutely recommend the latter.
This week’s other new video games include Wavetail, Cassiodora, and River City Girls 2.
