Here’s our roundup of the new Xbox One games released this week.
Deep Rock Galactic, the co-op FPS from Ghost Ship Games, leaves Xbox Game Preview this week for its full 1.0 release. The game supports up to four players and is notable for its procedurally-generated, destructible environments. The game has already passed a million sales in two years of early access and should continue to do well on its full release. If you’re looking for a co-op game that actually means co-op, you’ll find a lot to like.
Also released this week is Super Mega Baseball 3. The latest iteration in Metalhead Software’s arcade baseball series features a variety of gameplay refinements, including improved base stealing and pick-off mechanics. A free demo is also available.
Our final Xbox One pick is Huntdown, a cool-looking 16-bit style side-scroller inspired by 1980s action movies. Yes, you’ve read that description for a trillion other games, but this one looks pretty good. Honest!
Also coming to Xbox One is the retro-inspired hack and slash roguelike, Thy Sword, and colourful adventure platformer, Potata: Fairy Flower.
Each new game can be purchased from the Xbox One digital games store and Microsoft online store. Here’s the confirmed new release lineup.
