Madden NFL 22 and Twelve Minutes headline the list of upcoming Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One releases.

The release of Madden NFL 22 is a sure sign that the AAA video game season is about to start. In the coming weeks, Xbox owners can look forward to Aliens: Fireteam Elite, Psychonauts 2, and, erm, Bus Simulator 21.

EA Sport’s long-running NFL franchise returns to the field with some welcome improvements. New additions include coaching skill trees, a revamped Franchise Hub, and an overhauled user interface.

Sports fans looking for something less intensive should try arcade soccer sim World Superstar Strikers ’91. Bipolar Dawn’s game has an endearingly dopey sense of humour and channels the spirit of Super Mario Strikers.

Our pick of the week is Twelve Minutes from Luis Antonio. This domestic thriller with a time loop twist has been on our radar for some time. The voice talents James McAvoy, Daisy Ridley, and Willem Dafoe will hopefully elevate the intriguing premise into something special. The game is an Xbox console exclusive – for now, at least – and also comes to Game Pass.

We’ll keep this post updated throughout the week with any late additions.
