Upcoming Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One releases include Halo Infinite and Rune Factory 4 Special.

There’s a buzz in the air about Halo Infinite that has been absent since at least 2010. The game’s free-to-play multiplayer mode is off to a roaring start, and early word about the campaign is positive. After numerous delays and a decidedly mixed reaction from previews, it appears that 343 Industries has finally escaped Bungie’s shadow and is making the franchise its own. The game goes on sale on December 7 and is included with Xbox Game Pass.

Nine years after its debut on Nintendo 3DS, strategy RPG Rune Factory 4 Special makes its Xbox bow. The updated version of the game includes new music, an extra difficulty option, and impressive use of the Live2D mo-cap tech.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. But it's hard to do that in the current financial climate. If you'd like to help us fund these aims, you could always buy the team a cup of coffee.
