A quiet week sees just one new game come to Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Sword of Elpisia – a new JRPG from Asdivine Hearts developer Exe Create Inc. – is the only brand new game confirmed for release on Xbox consoles this week.

At first glance, the game doesn’t look particularly ambitious, but the studio has some pedigree, so it could be of interest to fans of turn-based battles, 16-bit era visuals, and pet buddies.

The only other notable Xbox content confirmed for release is new DLC for one of 2017’s best games. Dead Cells: The Queen & The Sea includes new shipwreck and lighthouse areas to explore, plus a host of new weapons and outfits to obtain.

We hate to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. But it's difficult to make ends meet in online publishing at the moment, so if you'd like to help us continue our work, you could always buy the team a cup of coffee.
