Bandai Namco released new screens from the delayed Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom.

Level-5 announced last week that Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has been delayed once again, and is now due for worldwide release on March 23, 2018.

President and CEO Akihiro Hino said in a press statement:

“In an effort to constantly innovate and bring new experiences to players, we’ve also implemented new modes in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom including the new Skirmish and Kingdom Modes which will surly delight players. However with innovation and new ideas come the need to ensure everything works together in a fun and cohesive package. This means we’ll need a bit more time to make sure the entire Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom experience meets Level-5 and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.’s high quality standards.”

The screenshots show off the new Kingdom Mode, which lets players expand their territories by completing quests and bringing in new technology and people.

We recently had a chance to play the game, and it impressed us with a blend of beautiful animation, solid combat, and a mingling of interesting game modes – the main character also had cat ears.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will be released on PlayStation 4 and PC on March 23, 2018. We hope.
