Some of the best games on Nintendo Switch are discounted in the eShop New Year sale.
If you picked up a Nintendo Switch over the holidays, the eShop New Year sale gives you a chance to buy some of the system’s best games at a low(ish) prices.
The obvious highlights are The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. If you liked the recent Age of Calamity, the first Hyrule Warriors is also worth a spin, and the comically spooky Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the best game in series to date.
Third-party recommendations include Ubisoft’s fun Zelda-homage Immortals Fenyx Rising, Mortal Kombat XI, and – with a few caveats – Obsidian’s sci-fi RPG, The Outer Worlds.
It’s also a good sale if you want to revisit some excellent ports of games from the Xbox 360/PS3 generation. Bioshock: The Collection, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Skyrim, and L.A. Noire all come recommended.
