Two indie classics headline this week’s lineup of new eShop releases for the Nintendo Switch.

One of the nice things about the steady trickle of games ported to Switch is the rediscovery of some old favourites. It’s a list that features games like Hob, Bastion and Castle Crashers.

Another example is Monaco: What’s Yours is Mine. Pocketwatch’s multiplayer-focused heist game was a deserved success when it was released in 2013 and one we spent many hours playing on Xbox 360. We’d committed it to memory but its return on Switch this week is a delightful surprise. It’s thoroughly recommended.

And it’s not alone. Another great game from Xbox 360 indie boom released is Skullgirls 2nd Encore. The updated version of Revenge Labs’ classic 2D fighting game comes to Switch on Tuesday.

Other new Nintendo eShop releases include the acclaimed action-RPG Cat Quest II: The Lupus Empire and PBA Pro Bowling. Also notable are Mountain Peak Battle Mess and Space Intervention. But they are only notable for being that rarest of beasts, new releases for the Wii U.

Here is this week’s lineup of new Nintendo Switch games.
