A new batch of notable Switch games get Nintendo eShop discounts.
It’s hard to keep up with the ebb and flow of new releases and discounts on the Nintendo Switch eShop, but let’s give it a go.
In addition to our weekly new release roundups – which go live every Monday – we’ll also be highlighting the best eShop sales and discounts each Friday. This week, a crop of games published by Nicalis and Capcom get price reductions on the European Switch eShop.
Pick of the bunch is Edmund McMillen’s The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+. The game’s standard price is at the top end for an indie, so the 50% discount is especially welcome. Also recommended is the HD remaster of Treasure’s classic shoot ’em up, Ikaruga, and Daisuke Amaya’s legendary Cave Story.
My personal favourite is Terry Cavanagh’s peerless platformer, VVVVVV. It’s simple, inventive, and addictive. A masterclass of 2D game design.
Most of the new discounts will be live until November 1, 2018. Some of the games featured in last week’s roundup also remain on sale for another week. Check the eShop in your region for full details.
