This week’s lineup of new Nintendo Switch releases includes 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim and Gotta Protectors: Cart of Darkness.
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim was a true word-of-mouth hit when it debuted on PlayStation 4. Vanillaware’s game had a slow start before gaining momentum and finding a place in many GOTY conversations. Given its scope, it should be a perfect fit for Nintendo’s hybrid console. New players can look forward to a wild branching narrative in an adventure that combines visual novel storytelling and real-time strategy.
Another highlight is a new collection of arcade classics. Taito Milestones features ten games, including Qix (a personal favourite), Elevator Action, Front Line, Alpine Ski, and Space Seeker.
Other new Nintendo Switch releases include Gotta Protectors: Cart of Darkness, Nobody Saves the World, and Pad of Time. The last game is notable for also being released on Nintendo Wii U. Get it while you can.
