Here’s the full list of new videogames coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop between August 5-9, 2019.
As is often the case, it’s the glut of older games coming to Nintendo Switch that catches our eye. Topping this week’s list is superhero MMORPG, DC Universe Online. Previews indicate a highly competent port, and hopefully the eight-year old game will find a whole new audience on Switch. The game is free to play with paid content expansions starting at around $14.99. The good news is that a Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required.
We’re also intrigued to see how the Switch version of Obsidian’s isometric RPG, Pillars of Eternity, turns out. We reviewed the game on its initial release, and when it came to PS4, and liked it on both occasions. Definitely one to watch.
Finally, Nightdive Studios return with a port of Nintendo 64 ‘classic,’ Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Newcomers to the game are unlikely to be impressed, but for those who battled the Primagen first time round this should a pleasurable, if expensive, trip down memory lane.
