Here’s our roundup of this week’s new eShop releases for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS.

There’s a busy enough week ahead on the Nintendo eShop, but there are no big hitters that immediately catch the eye.

The week begins with the release of Frozenbyte’s Trine 2: Complete Story, which includes the base game – a sumptuous and well-designed platformer – plus its two DLC expansion packs.

Other new releases of note include Q.U.B.E. 2, the physics-based puzzle sequel from Toxic Games, and Aragami – Shadow Edition, the accomplished stealth actioner from Lince Works.

Fans of classic point-and-click games should check out The Journey Down Trilogy, which compiles the three previously released episodes of Skygoblin’s well-received adventure game.

Check back later this week for additional updates, including details of any new NeoGeo or Arcade Archives releases from the folks at Hamster Corporation.

We have a favour to ask

Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
