Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Wolfenstein: Youngblood headline this week’s lineup of new eShop releases for the Nintendo Switch.
The summer slump is over with a jam-packed lineup of new games coming to the Nintendo Switch. Top of the list is Fire Emblem: Three Houses, the latest tactical RPG from Intelligent Systems. This instalment sees a slight retooling of the franchise’s gameplay (Say goodbye to the Weapon Triangle), and the introduction of a Harry Potter-style school simulation narrative. Early word is very promising.
The week’s other big release is co-op FPS, Wolfenstein: Youngblood. If you have other consoles at your disposal, your money might be better spent there, but this should be a solid port nonetheless from the talented team at Panic Button. The slightly more expensive Deluxe Edition includes a Buddy Pass, allowing access to the game’s online co-op for a friend.
Other new releases include Metalhead Software’s excellent arcade sports game, Super Mega Baseball 2, and Jupiter’s latest nonogram puzzler, Picross Lord of the Nazarick. A word also for action platformer compilation, Mighty Switch Force! Collection, and sci-fi scrolling shoot ’em up, Raiden V: Director’s Cut.
Here’s everything we have confirmed for release on the Nintendo Switch, check back for more updates throughout the week.

We hate to ask, but...
Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
