Apex Legends and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time headline this week’s new Nintendo Switch eShop releases.
When we discovered that Apex Legends was coming to Switch, we were a little dubious. Nintendo’s console is home to some quality ports but getting Respawn’s free-to-play battle royale to run optimally seemed like a difficult task. However, analysis of the game’s trailer bodes well. We hope that porting studio Panic Button has worked its magic once again and that Apex Legends is a step above similarly ambitious games like Overwatch and Warframe.
We’re also intrigued to see how Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time transfers to Switch. Toys for Bob’s platformer sits firmly in the shade of Nintendo’s best Mario games, but it’s a solid and colourful adventure that’s well worth a look once you have grabbed every star in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
Other new Nintendo Switch releases include WRC 9: The Official Game, Bishoujo Battle Cyber Panic!, and Alchemist Simulator.
Here’s the full lineup of this week’s Nintendo eShop games. We’ll update this page throughout the week with any late arrivals.
