Dark Light

Here’s a complete rundown of this week’s new Nintendo Switch eShop releases.

There’s a relatively quiet week ahead for the Switch with no big new releases to speak of. That said, some excellent new indies are coming to the Nintendo eShop.

The list is headlined Death’s Door, the amazing isometric adventure from Acid Nerve and publisher Devolver Digital. The game received rave reviews on PC earlier this year, with praise directed at its humour and intricate world design. The influence of The Legend of Zelda, Dark Souls, and Studio Ghibli are plain to see, but Death’s Door also has its own distinct identity. A must play.

We’re also rather fond of Night Lights, a challenging platformer from Meridian4 built around light and shade puzzle mechanics.

Other new Nintendo Switch games include sports sim Cricket 22 and the delayed release of time-travel adventure Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality.

We’ll keep this post updated throughout the week with any late eShop additions.
