Microsoft has announced the four free games coming to Xbox Games with Gold in November 2019.
We remember when we used to feel a frisson of excitement when the latest Xbox Games with Gold titles were announced. These days that excitement is pretty much reserved for Xbox Game Pass. Nonetheless, Xbox Live Gold members can still look forward to some free games each month, and November’s lineup is not without merit.
On Xbox One we have Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter, the 2016 action-adventure detective game from Frogwares. There’s a solid game in here if you can get past some of the technical quirks but the studio’s most recent release, The Sinking City, is a better bet if you want to test your deductive prowess.
Also coming to Xbox One is The Final Station, the post-apocalyptic indie adventure from Do My Best Games. In our review, we said that despite some repetitive gameplay, “the journey and the destination stay with you long after you disembark.”
November’s Xbox 360 titles – which can also be played on Xbox One via back compat – are Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter and Joy Ride Turbo. Here are the availability dates for each game.

- Sherlock Holmes: The Devil’s Daughter – November 1 to 3
- The Final Station – November 16 to December 15
Xbox 360 and Xbox One
- Star Wars: Jedi Starfighter – November 1 to 15
- Joy Ride Turbo – November 16 to 30
Two of October’s Xbox Games with Gold games – Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge and Tembo the Badass Elephant – are available until the end of today. Friday the 13th: The Game is free to download until November 15.
