The upcoming Okami HD remaster will be out in time for Christmas, and today Capcom have released two new trailers for the game.

Each trailer centres on a different part of the game; they’re both short and sweet, but will get you in the mood to jump back into Amaterasu’s world

It’s a bit of a special remaster job as well: the updated graphics are going to support 4K on the PS4 Pro and the Xbox One X – along with PCs that can cope with it.

You’ll also be able to toggle between widescreen resolution and the original boxy 4:3 ratio, and they’ve reinstated the mini-games from the original PS2 version and subsequently absent from the Wii port.

It’s set to release on December 12th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Europe and North America. Oddly, the Japanese version will release slightly later on December 21st.

It’s a very welcome remaster indeed, with Okami all but unavailable to players with current generation hardware.

On its release, its enchanting tale was a bit of a departure from director Hideki Kamiya’s usual output. Taking a Zelda formula template, it tells the story of the goddess of the sun transformed into a white wolf, charged with rejuvinating the environment with her celestial paint-brush tail. Yep.
