Konami confirms a release date and new game modes for football simulation, PES 2020.

Konami continues its programme of improvements for the PES series with a range of nips, tucks, and tweaks in response to fan feedback. The upcoming PES 2020 – or eFootball  PES 2020, to use its official name – will feature a revamped Master League, an overdue overhaul of the game’s menus, and a new Matchday mode.

The updated Master League features an interactive dialogue system that affects story progression by enabling players to choose responses that suit their personality. The transfer market also benefits from a brand-new algorithm to ensure a closer match to the real world football economy.

On the pitch, the development team has worked with Spanish legend, Andrés Iniesta, to develop a new attacking move called the Finesse Dribble.

PES 2020 will come to PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on September 10, 2019, with cover art featuring FC Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi.

Speaking about his new cover star status, Messi says:

“I am very happy to be on the cover of eFootball PES 2020. Since I was a little kid, I have always looked forward to seeing who was going to be on the cover. Now my son plays the game, and I have to say that he’s very excited that it’s going to be me. He’s even asked me several times why I was not on it, so I’m really happy now that I am.”

Bless.

Alongside Messi, the digital-only Legend Edition will feature a 3D-scanned 2019 version of Brazilian star, Ronaldinho. Both players are alos available on a 10-match loan for myClub. Digital pre-orders also include Iniesta, and a bonus 1,000 myClub coins.

PES 2020 will be released on Europe and the Americas on September 12, 2019, and in Asia on September, 12, 2019.
