PGA Tour 2K21 debuts at No.2 in the UK video games chart, but Animal Crossing: New Horizons returns to the top.
It’s oh so close, but there’s no stopping Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which retakes the No.1 spot in the GfK chart despite a slight dip in sales. Last week’s No.1, EA Sports UFC, falls two places to third.
PGA Tour 2K21’s No.2 entry is a strong performance for HB Studios’ golfing series, Last year’s instalment – The Golf Club 2019 Featuring PGA Tour – failed to crack the top forty, so it looks like the publishing partnership with 2K is paying off.
The rest of the top ten has a familiar feel to it, with Ghost of Tsushima, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and FIFA 20 among the games shuffling places.
There’s also re-entry for Marvel’s Spider-Man at No.9. In fact, retailer discounts mean it’s a good top forty for PS4 exclusives, with Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, Days Gone, and both The Last of Us games all placing.
