Sega has announced that the global closed beta test for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis will be held in May.
Sega will host the global closed beta test for Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis on PC from May 14-16, 2021. Players can register now via the Xbox Insider Hub App, with more details available from the test’s official website.
Players who take part have the chance to try out the game and give feedback to the development team ahead of its full release later this year. Participants will also receive a special treat, although Sega hasn’t revealed what the reward will be.
Speaking about the beta test, Fred White from PSO2 Team Global says
“Since our big announcement last year that Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis is in development, the number one question we get from players is asking when they will be able to jump in and play the game themselves. The whole team is excited to kick off the registration today of our extensive beta test which will take place May 14th-16th. Players have responded with overwhelming positivity and excitement for this upcoming development milestone and we can’t wait for them to experience the game firsthand.”
Meanwhile, Phantasy Star Online 2 has received two new quests. Final Battle: Space-time Interstice is a new solo Ultimate Quest that sets players against the Primordial Darkness. And a new repeatable Urgent Quest sees players attempt to rescue citizens from a raging fire in the City Area of the ARKS Ship.
