Dark Light

Telling Lies and Streets of Rage 4 headline this week’s lineup of new PS Store releases for the PlayStation 4, PS Vita, and PS VR.

Streets of Rage 4 marks the return of the legendary beat ‘em up franchise after a gap of 26 years. The cartoon art style might not be to everyone’s taste, but some retro content to should help keep longtime fans happy. Lizardcube’s excellent work on Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap makes us optimistic.

Watching people talk into webcams has become an increasingly familiar sight in recent months. Sam Barlow’s Telling Lies uses the medium to tell a story of surveillance and duplicity. It’s a rewarding experience that expands upon the mechanics Barlow used so-successfully in Her Story. It also features stellar performances from Logan Marshall-Green, Alexandra Shipp, Kerry Bishé, and Angela Sarafyan.

Also worth a look is Moving Out, a new physics-based multiplayer game that gives home removals the Overcooked! treatment. It looks like good fun for housebound families. Other new PS4 releases include Jigsaw Abundance, which speaks for itself, and off-road racing game, Snowrunners.

Here is the full lineup of new PlayStation Store games for the PS4, PS VR, and PS Vita. We’ll add any last-minute additions to the list throughout the week.
