Sony has revealed April 2021’s PlayStation Plus games, all of which will be available to download from next Tuesday.

Once again, the PlayStation 5 gets a game all to itself. This time it’s Oddworld: Soulstorm, which serves as a follow-up to 2014’s Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty! and a re-imagining of 1998’s Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus. It’s not a game we have been particularly looking forward to, so the chance to sample it via PlayStation Plus is appreciated. Players who enjoy stealthy platform adventures should be well-served by Abe’s latest exploits. The game is also available to purchase on PS4.

Two games are also coming to both PS4 and PS5. Bend Studio’s Days Gone was reasonably well-received in 2019. It’s a perfectly okay open-world adventure that is handsomely made even if it doesn’t break new ground. Some cool zombie horde mechanics are its most notable achievement, even if they remind us of Benny Hill.

For our money, the tongue-in-cheek antics of Rebellion’s Zombie Army 4: Dead War are a better bet. This 2020 third-person shooter is jolly good fun, particularly in co-op.

All three games are available to download for PlayStation Plus subscribers from April 6 to May 3, 2021.
