Games developed and published by Japanese companies are the focus of the latest PlayStation Store sale. A host of excellent PS4 (and PS5) titles are discounted, including last year’s breakout hit, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. Vanillaware’s game is fun enough on a gameplay level, but it’s the mind-bending story and complex characters that really helped it gain traction. It’s not for everyone, but it’s ambitious and well worth picking up at half-price.
A 60% discount also makes Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot a more appealing prospect. The critical response to CyberConnect2’s action-RPG was pretty mixed, but DBZ fans seem happy enough, and our own Callum Williams found the game to be an enlightening experience.
Other recommended sale titles include the Judgment, Kingdom Hearts III, and Monster Hunter World: Iceborne. Heck, we may even give Disaster Report 4: Summer Memories a whirl.
