Explore alien worlds with this week’s lineup of new PlayStation Store releases for the PS4 and PS5.

The first new release on our radar is Subnautica: Below Zero from Unknown Worlds Entertainment. The game was originally designed as an add-on for the first Subnautica but became standalone as its scope and size increased during development. A deeper story, land-based areas, and a new collection of gadgets are among the enhancements to look forward to.

Bioware’s hit sci-fi series also returns this week. Mass Effect Legendary Edition brings together the original trilogy of action RPGs plus almost every piece of post-release DLC. All three games feature updated graphics and performance, plus refined gameplay mechanics.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
