Halloween brings new in-game events and rewards to Pokémon Go.
Starting October 17, a range of new seasonally spooky in-game events will come to Niantic’s hit mobile game, Pokémon Go.
First of all, players will be able to save Shadow Pokémon from the clutches of Team GO Rocket. The following Pokémon are awaiting rescue: Beedrill, Cacnea, Duskull, Electabuzz, Kakuna, Lapras, Magmar, Mareep, Nuzleaf, Sableye, Seedot, Shuppet, Trapinch, and Weedle. Yamask will also make its debut, including a Shiny variant.
Some new Halloween-themed items will also be available in the Style Shop, including a Zubat Bag, a Pikachu Onesie, a Cubone Cap, a Litwick Cap and a Mimikyu Bag.
A limited-time event is also running from October 17 to November 1, 2019. During the event, there will be an increase in Ghost and Dark-type Pokémon showing up in the wild, in raids, and eggs. Pitch-Black Pokémon Darkrai will also appear in five-star raids, and there will be a selection of new field research tasks to complete.
Some Pokémon will also be adorned in some cute costumes throughout the event. Just check out that adorable Mimikyu costume. And there are double candy rewards for everyone, too.
