The Switch continues to perform well according to new sales figures from Nintendo.

Nintendo of Europe has reported that the Switch has seen a year-on-year sales increase, with more than ten million consoles now sold across the region in total.

Nintendo Switch hardware sales are almost 30% higher than last year, and 40% up on 2017, the year the console launched.

Software sales are also impressive. More than 36 million Nintendo-published titles have been sold and nine games have broken the one million sales milestone. Third-party games also seem to be doing well, with Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and Stardew Valley cited as shifting more than 500,000 copies across physical and digital formats in the region.

Nintendo of Europe President, Stephan Bole, says:

“The Nintendo Switch family of consoles is being enjoyed by millions of players across Europe, and passing such a major milestone is testament to its broad appeal. European sales of Nintendo Switch hardware and software are growing significantly each year, and existing and new console owners have a wealth of titles to choose from, with plenty more on the way.”

The recent release of the Nintendo Switch Lite and the upcoming releases of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield should see the console continue to perform well as it approaches its third birthday.
