The third map for PUBG is scheduled to be released in the first half of this year, which means it will be with us by the end of June.

In a Steam update posted today, developer Bluehole has said there will be a roadmap of the upcoming content released in March:

“In March, the team will reveal what you can expect from us in the first half of 2018 in terms of our development and new content plans which, by the way, include a new map.”

So far, players have the choice of the original map, Erangel, and the second map, Miramar – the first set in Russia, the second in Central America.

Bluehole also addressed why content has been slow to trickle out for PUBG, saying:

“Early this year, development of some of the major features and systems was delayed as our focus shifted towards tightening our anti-cheat effort. Also, due to other reasons, we have not been able to show you the team’s development roadmap for 2018.”

The blog post coincides with an update for the game which addresses bug fixes, optimisation, and general tweaks.
