Red Dead Redemption 2, God of War, and Spider-Man lead GDC Awards nominations

Red Dead Redemption 2, Marvel’s Spider-Man, and God of War are among the 2019 Game Developers Choice Awards finalists.

Organisers of the Game Developers Choice Awards have announced this year’s nominees. The Game of the Year award is contested by CelesteGod of WarRed Dead Redemption 2, Return of the Obra Dinn, and Spider-Man.

Rockstar’s open world western is nominated in a total of seven categories, including design, audio, narrative, technology, visual art, and innovation. Spider-Man and God of War get six nods each.

Florence, Moss, Forza Horizon 4, Gris, and Tetris Effect are among the other nominees.

The Game Developers Choice Awards take place on March 20, 2019 at the San Francisco Moscone Center, during this year’s Game Developers Conference. The ceremony will be hosted once again by industry legend, Tim Schafer. Here is the full list of finalists.
