Capcom has announced that three Resident Evil games will be updated for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
Players can look forward to ray tracing and higher frame rates, and PS5 owners will also benefit from 3D audio and haptic support for the DualSense controller.
Players who already own PlayStation 4 or Xbox One versions can upgrade free of charge via the PS4 to digital PS5 upgrade option or Xbox Smart Delivery. PC players haven’t been forgotten either, as a free upgrade patch will be made available.
All three games are developed using Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine. They are visual standouts on last generation platforms, so we’re excited to see how they look – and perform – on the latest console technology.
The upgraded versions of each title are set for release by Capcom at some point in 2022.
