Terrible Toybox has confirmed that Return to Monkey Island will be released later this year.

Return to Monkey Island is the long-awaited sixth title in the fan-favourite series of comical point-and-click adventure games. It’s the first since 2013’s Tales of Monkey Island.

The game is being developed by Terrible Toybox in collaboration with Devolver Digital and Lucasfilm Games. Creator Ron Gilbert is on board as director and is co-writing the game with Dave Grossman.

Series stalwarts Clint Bajakian, Michael Land, and Peter McConnel are back to score the game. And thankfully, Dominic Armato also returns to voice the legendary Guybrush Threepwood.

An exact release date is yet to be confirmed, and although there’s no news on platforms, expect to see the game on PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox.
