Shadow of the Colossus remaster has colour filters to mess with

Dark Light

The forthcoming Shadow of the Colossus remake has some colour filters for you to mess about with, and they really make a difference.

It is part of the game’s photo mode, which, given how beautiful the remaster is looking, will probably eat into your time.

There are more than a dozen filters for you to play around with – from ‘mono’, and ‘cool’, ‘warm’ to ‘woodland’. What’s great is how they affect the mood of the environment as you roam about the world. There is also a film grain setting so you can capture shots in style while you stalk the colossi.

Take a look at this video from PlayStation Europe, in which Art Director Mark Skelton goes into detail on the mode:

As you can see, there are a lot more options there, with a vignette mode that allows you to darken the corners, framing options, camera rotation, and colour intensity sliders.

He signs at the end by saying, “The community will do things with it that we had never thought about… I can’t wait for that to happen.”

He won’t have to wait too much longer either: Shadow of the Colossus is due out on February 6th, just under two weeks away!
