Dark Light

Dust off those headsets, Sony has six new titles heading to PlayStation VR in 2021.

Just weeks after its casual announcement of PS VR 2, Sony has surprisingly revealed six new titles heading to PS VR. All launching in 2021, the six games range from escape room sequels to VR adaptations of cult-classics.

Among those announced was Doom 3 VR, which will drop players back on the demon-filled red planet of the 2004 classic. Doom 3 VR will arrive on PS VR, on both PlayStation 4 and 5, as of March 29, 2021.

Originally revealed back in 2019, After The Fall – a co-operative experience from the team behind Arizona Sunshine – teases a zombie-filled post-apocalypse in its explosive cinematic trailer. I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and The Liar – a sequel to the whacky yet hilarious escape room experience – was also announced.

Other virtual reality experiences on the way include MMORPG Zenith, survival sim Song in the Smoke, and sports-shooter hybrid Fracked. Sadly, Doom 3 VR is the only title to get a confirmed release date, with the others simply stated to arrive later this year.

Despite nearing the end of the hardware’s lifespan, the new announcement gives PlayStation VR owners plenty of reason to be excited in 2021. Sony also confirmed that all PS VR titles will receive performance boosts on PlayStation 5.
