Geralt, the protagonist of the Witcher games, is going to be in the upcoming Soul Calibur VI, and Bandai Namco has put him on the front cover.
The Amazon listings for Soul Calibur 6 have gone up, and they reveal the game’s box art: a split-screen between the white-haired witcher and Mitsurugi.
CD Projekt Red community lead Marcin Momot spoke of the collaboration with Bandai Namco, saying:
“We’ve collaborated with Bandai Namco artists to faithfully recreate Geralt, and shared original Witcher 3: Wild Hunt assets like Geralt’s model, animations, and weapons. I think Bandai Namco did an outstanding job of capturing all the details and introducing The Witcher to Soul Calibur in a way fans of both series will enjoy.”
He looks like a character balanced between speed and power – take a look at the reveal trailer below:
Along with Geralt, other characters confirmed for Soul Calibur 6 include Nightmare, Zasalamel, Xianghua, Kilik, Ivy, and new character called Groh.
There isn’t a set release date for the game, but it will be out on PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year.
