Ubisoft have announced that the Steep Road to the Olympics DLC will be released on December 5th, 2017.
The new expansion is an officially licensed product of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games – which is being held in PyeongChang in February – and introduces a variety of professional athletes from around the globe to the game’s new story mode.
It also adds new Alpine Skiing, Snowboard and Freestyle Skiing events, including Giant Slalom, Slalom, Super-G, Downhill, Parallel Giant Slalom, Halfpipe, Snowboard Cross, Slopestyle, Ski Halfpipe, Ski Cross and Ski Slopestyle.
Road to the Olympics will be released on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X both receiving yet to be detailed enhancements.
In Road to the Olympics, players follow the journey of a young athlete training in three freestyle events – Big Air, Half Pipe and Slopestyle – with the aim of winning gold at the Olympic Winter Games. Along the way players will receive advice and training from a range of Olympic legends including American Alpine Skier, Lindsey Vonn, snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg, and the most decorated male American alpine ski racer of all time, Bode Miller.
Ubisoft have also opened pre-orders for the Steep Winter Games Edition, which includes the base game and the Road to the Olympics expansion.

We have a favour to ask
Thumbsticks has a couple of main aims. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. But it's hard to do that in the current financial climate. If you'd like to help us fund these aims, you could always buy the team a cup of coffee.
