Xbox One Free Play Days - Fallout 76
Bethesda / Thumbsticks

Three more hit games are free to play on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One for the next few days.

You’ll need more than a weekend to get the most out of this week’s Xbox Free Play Days titles, but each game is well worth spending time with.

Fallout 76 has come a long way since its troubled launch and has largely addressed the main concerns of players. If you abandoned the game in its early days, a return trip to the West Virginian Wasteland comes recommended.

Also free to play is Ark: Survival Evolved. Developer Studio Wildcard has shifted its priorities to Ark 2, but that means the first game is optimised, polished, and brimful of content. In many ways, it’s the perfect time to dive in.

Football Manager 2021 doesn’t feature quite as many dinosaurs, but it’s just as engrossing. If you’re a fan of the sport but have only ever played PES or FIFA, this masterful simulation deserves your attention.

Ark: Survival Evolved and Football Manager 2021 are available for Xbox Live Gold and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to play for free until midnight on June 13. Fallout 76 is free until June 16.

All progress and achievements earned during the free play period will transfer over to purchased copies of each game.

We hate to ask, but...

Thumbsticks has a couple of goals. We want to write interesting articles and cover games that most outlets won't, and we want to give opportunities to new writers and new voices. And right now, with the current state of online publishing? It's tough to meet those goals! We hate to ask, but if you want us to continue writing what others won't, or to keep covering weird indie games, or to be able to give opportunities to new writers – and only if you can afford it – then please consider supporting us on Patreon.
