FIFA 21 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons continue to rule the roost in the latest UK video game chart.

It’s the same old story in the UK physical software chart, with FIFA 21 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons rooted to the top for another week. Nintendo will also be pleased to see Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Ring Fit Adventure, and the Switch version of Minecraft performing well.

Elsewhere, Activision’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time moves up one place to No.8 and Marvel’s Avengers returns to the upper echelons of the chart at No.10. Star Wars Squadrons and Just Dance 2020 slip out of the top ten, falling to No.11 and No.14, respectively.

The only new chart entry – way down at No.37 – is Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt Of The Necrodancer, which gets a physical release 17 months after its Nintendo eShop debut.

The UK video game chart should soon liven up, however, with Watch Dogs Legions, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Cyberpunk 2077, and Spider-Man: Miles Morales all arriving in quick succession.
