Apart from Madden NFL 23, it’s a quiet week for AAA video game releases. But who needs them? This week’s crop of games is full of colour, invention, and experimentation.
Top of the list is Rollerdrome, a new roller skating action game from Roll7, developers of the OlliOlli series. The comic book art style and music from Electric Dragon make a great first impression, but it’s the studio’s track record of simple-to-learn but hard-to-master gameplay that has us most excited.

Kirby also returns to Nintendo Switch in Kirby’s Dream Buffet. It’s a new budget-priced multiplayer-focused game in which players must race across a series of obstacle courses, sucking up food as they go. The game has shades of Falls Guys, which is no bad.
Other new release highlights include Cursed to Golf and Blossom Tales 2: The Minotaur Prince. We’ll update this post throughout the week with any late arrivals.
