Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty headlines this week’s lineup of new video game releases. Here’s our roundup of the games coming to PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
Team Ninja’s new action RPG Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is certainly ambitious. It features full character customisation, a deep counter-attacking combat system, lots of loot, special moves, elemental spells, a morale system, and five “Divine Beasts” to summon. The blend of dark fantasy and Later Han dynasty folklore also looks like an absolute treat for the senses. With Nioh director Fumihiko Yasuda and Masaaki Yamagiwa, previously of Japan Studio, among the game’s creative leads, we expect something memorable.
Our other pick of the week is Horace, the sublime comedy platformer from Paul Helman and Sean Scaplehorn. It’s clever, cunning, and sometimes cruel, but oh-so-loveable. The game has been out on Nintendo Switch and PC for a while but gets a welcome release on PlayStation and Xbox this week.
