Forspoken and the return of Dead Space lead this week’s lineup of new video game releases for the PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
Despite a fair degree of hype, Forspoken remains something of an enigma. Square Enix’s new action-adventure game ticks a lot of boxes with silky-smooth traversal, an intriguing fantasy setting, and beautiful visuals. PlayStation 5 – and Windows PC – players can find out how it all comes together this week.
EA’s remake of Dead Space should be more of a known quantity, but the publisher promises plenty of surprises, including, it seems, multiple endings.
Elsewhere, Disgaea 7 serves up another slice of strategy RPG action and the Wonder Boy Anniversary Collection bundles 21 versions of six classic games.
This week’s other new video game releases include Risen, The Excavation of Hob’s Barrow, and Oddballers.
