Saber Interactive’s World War Z is out now on Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch port of the game of the film of the novel World War Z is now available on the Nintendo eShop and at retailers.

The retail edition is priced at $39.99 and the digital Deluxe Edition, which includes bonus weapons and skins, is available at $49.99.

We reviewed World War Z when it debuted on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2019. Tom enjoyed the game, saying:

“Like the movie it’s loosely based on, World War Z is in no way scary. It’s not even particularly compelling as a piece of horror. But like the movie, it is a relentless piece of AA action fluff that, if played with the right group of people, makes for a riotous and frenetic – if shallow – action tower defence game.”

From the footage we’ve seen, the Switch port looks impressive. There are some compromises, naturally, but Saber Interactive – who also handled the excellent Switch version of The Witcher III: Wild Hunt – look to have balanced performance and visuals to ensure a solid gameplay experience.
