Publisher Bigben Interactive has announced that WRC 8 – the official game of FIA World Rally Championship – will be released in September, 2019.

WRC 8 is being developed by Kylotonn – whose recent work includes TT Isle of Man and V-Rally 4 – and will be released for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

The series returns after a two year absence, during which time Kylotonn say they have been busy tweaking all aspects of the game, with a focus on improving vehicle physics and handling.

The first trailer for WRC 8 shows the Ford Fiesta World Rally Car in action.

The game will feature the official team roster of the 2019 FIA World Rally Championship season, as well as a selection of WRC 2 and Junior WRC drivers. Other boxes to tick include 100 stages to compete in across 14 countries, an improved career mode, smoother pace notes, and a new dynamic weather system.
