Wreckfest announced for release on Nintendo Switch

THQ Nordic and Bugbear Entertainment have announced that vehicle destruction jamboree Wreckfest is coming to Nintendo Switch later this year.

The fan-favourite game will squeal and crash its way onto Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2022. The Switch edition includes online multiplayer support for up to 16 players, plus offline tournaments.

Wreckfest will be available in two packages that bundle up existing content. The Season 1 package includes 20 vehicles, 20 roof decorations, and a car customisation pack. The Season 2 package adds 12 additional cars. Both versions will retail at a wallet-friendly $39.99 in the US and £34.99 in the UK.

As ever, it will be interesting to see how the game performs on a technical level. Developer Bugbear Entertainment promises a steady 30 FPS. The game certainly looks impressive enough in the new Nintendo Switch release date trailer.
