Dark Light

Microsoft has announced the new games coming to Xbox Game Pass this month, as well as those leaving the service.

The new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass during the remainder of October might not stand out at first glance, but there’s some real quality on offer.

Arriving this week on all Xbox platforms is Askiisoft’s Katana Zero. This frenetic slash and dash action platformer plays like a pepped up combination of Mark of the Ninja and Hotline: Miami. Retro-style actioners are ten a penny, but this is one of the best.

We’re also big fans of Heave Ho, the riotous multiplayer game from Le Cartel Studio. It’s a simple game in which players must reach a goal by swinging creatures with outstretched arms across a range of increasingly tricky levels. The fun comes from the resulting mess of limbs and the finely-tuned balance of co-operation and competition between players.

Other games to check out include The Swords of Ditto and Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition. Here’s the full lineup.
