Microsoft has announced the four free games coming to Xbox Games with Gold in August, 2019.
The latest Games with Gold lineup is the best for some time, with four top-notch games available to Xbox Live Gold subscribers throughout August.
The Coalition’s Gears of War 4 is probably the pick of the bunch, arriving just in time to whet our appetite for the upcoming Gears 5. It’s joined by fellow Xbox exclusive, Forza Motorsport 6, which we count among the best in Turn 10’s venerable racing franchise.
The Xbox 360 roster is also excdllent. Runic Games’ wonderful dungeon crawler, Torchlight, is an addictive delight, and MercurySteam’s Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is much better than its reputation suggests. Both Xbox 360 titles can also be played on Xbox One thanks to the dark arts of Backwards Compatibility.

There’s still one day left to download Meet the Robinsons and the astounding Inside from July’s Games with Gold lineup. Big Crown: Showdown is also available until August 15, 2019.
