Xbox Games with Gold

Microsoft has announced the four free games coming to Xbox Games with Gold in July 2019.

Inside and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night are the highlights from July’s Xbox Games with Gold lineup.

Playdead’s thrilling and disturbing platform game was one of Thumbsticks’ best games of 2016. In my review, I said it featured ‘a level of care and polish that few other games receive’. That statement holds true three years on.

The timing of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night‘s arrival on Games with Gold is interesting, coming a few weeks after the release of spiritual follow-up, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. It’s definitely one to revisit if you enjoyed Koji Igarashi’s new game.

The other two games to download in July are medieval multiplayer battler, Big Crown: Showdown, and film tie-in, Meet the Robinsons. Does anyone remember that film?

Here are the availability dates for each game.

Xbox Games With Gold – July 2019

Xbox One

  • Inside – July 1 to 31
  • Big Crown: Showdown – July 16 to August 15

Xbox 360 and Xbox One

  • Castlevania: Symphony of the Night – July 1 to 15
  • Meet the Robinsons – July 16 to 31

There’s still one day left to grab Earth Defense Force 2017 and EA Sports NHL 19 from June’s lineupRivals of Aether is also available until July 15, 2019.
